BATHS
Sauna Bath

Steam Bath
Similar to a sauna but utilizes moist heat generated by steam. The temperature is generally lower than that of a sauna, around 40°C to 50°C (104°F to 122°F).

Hip Bath
A hip bath involves immersing the lower body (hips and buttocks) in water. There are four types of hip baths:

Neutral Half Bath

Arm Foot Bath

HOT & COLD COMPRESSES
Hot Compress
A hot compress involves the application of heat to a specific area of the body using a cloth soaked in warm water or a heating pad.

Cold Compress
A cold compress involves applying cold temperatures to an area of the body using ice packs or cold cloths.

Contrast Compress
This technique alternates between hot and cold applications to stimulate circulation and reduce swelling (Alternating between hot compress for 3-5 minutes followed by a cold compress for 1-2 minutes, repeated several times).

Moist Heat Compress / Pack
A moist heat pack is a cloth or gel pack that retains moisture and is heated before application (Heating in a microwave or hot water before applying to the affected area).
